Note to self ” next year train before your 10K run!”

Ok ok any normal person would train before entering a 10K run. I did last year and found it went pretty good. This year well it was a grind from the beginning. The route is very hill and area’s are quite steep. I guess it stands to reason living in a mountain town! Well my friend and I pushed it. We completed it in just 2 minutes longer than last year! So I am very happy with it - however man am I stiff today! So next year I will plan in advance.

Well all I can say is that at least I did it and didn’t not go in the run walk. So even though it took me 2 mins longer I wasn’t a quitter and completed my goal.

tomorrow I will go shopping and pick up some healthy proteins.

    Congratulations!! See, you had nothing to worry about, not only did you complete your 10K, you did so only 2 minutes slower than last year, which is amazing for someone who didn’t truly train! NOW, you know how important it is to train, so I have no doubt, next year you will more than 2 minutes faster!! I am so proud of you Char and I hope this is just what you needed to get you going!

    I don’t understand to and Jo at all. I would feel the need to stretch before I drove that distance.

    Hopefully you won’t be too sore, I’m seeing a long hot bath in your future.

    Good for you - you did it and you’re already planning for next year! You’ve inspired me to keep up my training for the 5k.
