Back from Vegas

Well well well!  I am off line for just a couple weeks and all the changes! Well I am looking forward to checking it all out. Well I am so behind on everything! Just got back from my Vegas - friends wedding! Had fun lost just $40.00 so not to bad I havn’t weighed my self and won’t this week but will next. I have been consuming to many carbs lately. I know I have to get back on track so will start again logging my food and calories. Starting tomorrow. I am very tired today and cold! We are having a nasty cold snap. Very unusual for us to have it sooooo cold in Nov. Well in Vegas I did not to bad with food. 2 times we hit the buffet but I did pass on the carbs and ate more veg & protiens. My little black dress fit great and I felt good in it. We walked alot also. Well I have missed the contact with all of you and I will try to check in and catch up. 

Good and Bad in life.

I guess I will start off with the bad, I was reading Jo’s blog and shernmentioned a Gratitude Journal, Well I am so gratiful for my daughtersrnand that they are safe @ home…… Our small community suffered arntragic loss.. A girl in my daughters grad class & her friend (arnsingle mom) were killed in a head on crash coming home for the weekendrnto visit family- the truck they hit was also a local going the oppositerndirection….I knew the mom also she runs a fitness place inrntown.  We live in the mountains and to get to our large center werntravel through a national park. Very sevier winter conditions in parts.rnWell Storm Mountain …. says it all. Black Ice….(we loose many tornthis mountain highway) Well It gives a person a chance to look atrnlife…..What is the worst thing going on in mine now? You know I can’trneven think of one thing? My weight loss? Well it is coming… My oldestrndaughter (who just lost a fellow friend) still hasn’t made a dission torngo to school,(which I thought was stressful) but she is alive and fullrnof laughter and love. My 16 year old is afraid to learn to drive. Wellrnthat to will come and she is also full of smiles and love. So what! myrngirls still have some things to work out, but you know that is life andrnthere will always be things to work out. And god be willing keep themrnsafe…..

rnSorry for that long sad blog but I just needed to talk. Well myrntraining is done! I still have much to learn but I have great support @rnwork.So I am hoping to have more time in the evenings on Buddyrnslim.  My weight is still hanging on hold but I have spent manyrndays working out @ the hot spring pool. Since Nov 1st when I bought myrnyear pass, I have gone 8 out of 12 daysYeh!rnMe!  My meals have been very good and planned so I know thatrneverything will get back on track soon. I sure miss the connection withrneveryone. I have spent some time reading up on you all so even when I am not bloging….. I am there for you!

rnThe lady had cancer…. Well her last words on the show were “Somethingrngood always comes out of something bad” WOW! That all I can say wordsrnto live by!

Still moving along!

Well today is my day off.rnSo I went and worked out @ the HS pool. I have gone 5 times in the lastrn6 days! I am feeling my legs getting toned again - which is good asrnthis summer I was doing so good with my hiking and fall came and I stopped everthing! rnHowever I did continue with my healthy eatting and maintained myrnweight. I am tired of this “Plateau” I have been camped on for 2 monthsrn(but better than gaining) WellrnI know that this swimming will work for me. I have added a few morernlower body exercises and will continue to add as I feel I can handlernmore. Well tomorrow I start 3 more days of a training course but I guess I shouldn’t complain they pay me to do it!
rnWell tonight I packed my lunch for next 2 days. I was reading onrnOprah’s site, she had Dr. O on about weight loss the other day (Irnmissed it) so anyways he had said that it is good to eat simularrnbreakfast and lunches and then have the varity meal at dinner. You knowrnthat is what I have been doing for the last month and I find it good asrnI don’t have to think at all about 2 meals of the day. I find shoppingrnfor my groceries easier as I know that I need the basics for 2 meals.   All in all my life is…. same old thing - work - swim - But in just a few weeks Off to Vegas for my best friends Wedding! Ya Baby! I hope to tone up a bit more for the little black dress to look better! Ohrndid I tell you all that I just am having so much fun with SmileyrnCentral! Yes my new hobby I even IM my DH with the funny talking ones!rnI think I am driving him insaneBut hey why should I change my evil ways now?
rnI am going to catch up on you all as much as I can tonight. Take carernbuddies even when I am not on line I am thinking of you all!

Nov 1st - day # 1

Well today was a fresh start for me. Yup I went to the hot springs this am. I did some exercises first -  side leg lifts- rear leg lifts - squats (all in the water)ThenrnI did 25 mins of laps. It was hard staying in my lane though as thernsteam was coming off the water alot as the sun was coming out over thernmountain tops. I did some laps just using my legs and no arms. Boy wasrnthat hard! But felt good. I feel so wonderful after that work out. Itrnwas a total of 45mins of work out and then rnA bit of a relaxing soak. Yes I know I will continue with this.rnDH  also enjoyed it.  My meals were good today but I madernhomemade soup and used white noodles in it. I have to get some wholernwheat noodles as I find the white flour noodles drain my energy laterrnin the day. I did take a psyluim fiber with it just to help with therndigestion of it.
rnWell Jo is doing a 33 lbs by 33. Well I think that is such a fantastic idea - however….beingrnthat I have passed the 33 mark - I am going to join Jo by doing rntotal of 47 lbs by 47 (march ) so that means I still have 24 to go!rnAprox 17 weeks to do it. Yes that Jo is a real motivater!. So all in all I had a good day.  I hope all of you do also
